History

Fujiyama – Since 1976, an iconic destination for Japanese cuisine in Geneva

Fujiyama is an institution. Since 1976, this emblematic Geneva restaurant has been keeping the Japanese tradition alive with consistency and generosity. More than just a dining spot, it’s a place full of life, memories, and transmission — where generations of guests, from families to regulars and curious newcomers, meet and return, year after year.

After decades at Square Chantepoulet, Fujiyama has recently moved to 42 Rue de Lyon, just a stone’s throw from its original location. This new chapter stays true to the restaurant’s spirit: warm hospitality, authentic cuisine, and attentive service. At Fujiyama, family values come first — respect, kindness, consistency, and quality.

On the menu: Sushi, Maki, Sukiyaki fondue, Ramen, Udon, Tempura… plus a daily special and a variety of bentos served every weekday from 11:30 a.m. to 2:30 p.m. And to enjoy the experience at home, Fujiyama delivers seven days a week.

For nearly 50 years, Fujiyama has cared for its guests with the same passion. It’s a beloved address — a place to discover, to come back to, and to feel at home.
